Intosso from Trappeto di Caprafico


Discover a land enriched by centuries-old trees in a rugged and wild landscape of the Abruzzo region of Italy, where Trappeto di Caprafico harvests its Intosso olive trees to make its organic, single-varietal Intosso EVOO.


Medium/high intensity, really well-balanced and complex EVOO with aromas of fresh green almond and aromatic herbs and flavors of green almond, aromatic herbs such as rosemary, artichoke hearts, green pepper and a hint of green banana. Very high persistency with medium bitterness and medium/high but fresh pungency.

The Intosso olive is special in that it is in the Ark of Taste, or the Slow Food Presidia, which seeks to preserve at-risk foods that are sustainably produced, unique in taste and part of a distinct ecoregion.

Harvest date: October/November 2018
