Why we started Olioveto
Our business began after spending a year living in Italy, working on a small olive farm and tasting fresh, perfectly made extra virgin olive oil. Because most of the olive oil we can buy in the United States is either adulterated (blended with seed oils or with old olive oil) or defective, we had never before tasted anything like that extra virgin olive oil straight from the olive mill: green, vibrant and fresh. The world shifted, and we could no longer go back to the olive oil available in stores.
To recreate that experience of perfect extra virgin olive oil, Olioveto works with a professional tasting panel and olive oil expert in Italy and maintains optimal shipping and storage conditions to guarantee the quality of all of our extra virgin olive oils from tree to table.
